The awards started in 2020 as a way to help local businesses in West Dorset that were feeling the effect of Covid/lockdowns.
They were so well received in the first area that other areas soon followed and we now stretch right across Dorset into Hampshire.
HISTORY OF THE AWARDS
The Ethos
The awards will always be free and easy to enter, competitively priced to sponsor, and allow local businesses the chance to gain recognition either through sponsoring or entering.

We are strong believers in attracting larger local companies, that have achieved success, to sponsor the awards and in doing so helping their local business communities and towns. Local businesses really are at the heart of the economy. The more we can do to promote and nurture independent businesses the better for all.

SME's make up the majority of the UK's business and these awards encourage local entrepreneurs. By recognising and celebrating success these awards inspire other businesses to strive for excellence. This in turn leads to a more vibrant and competitive business environment. Small businesses and start-ups are particularly motivated by the prospect of recognition which can lead to increased innovation and business ventures within the community.
